This month it’s all about black belt attitude at our Sovereign schools. Being a black belt means not only having incredible skills, a high level of knowledge and strength. Being a blackbelt is a mindset and a way of life. And most important of all : being a blackbelt does not only happen inside the gym! Learn more about how to apply your black attitude to your daily life!
Black belts are good leaders. They pass on their knowledge and always support others. Being a leader does not mean to restrict others and tell them what to do. It’s quite the opposite. Good leaders bring out the best in the people around them and help them letting their dreams come true. As a black belt and a good leader you want everyone to succeed and be happy. In daily life this means being there for the people around you, for colleagues, friends and family, and support them in every decision they make. Always remember : do good and good will come your way, too!
Black belts have an incredible focus and discipline. In the martial art classes they learn to work for their goals and fight for everything they want to achieve. This attitude pays off in daily life as well. Black belts are more productive at school, work and every other project they’re starting. You can be sure : black belts try everything to succeed and finish everything they start brilliantly even if there are rough times and setbacks.
Our black belts learn to make the best out of every single day. They are going through life with an open mind, ready for surprises and changes and appreciate all the little things. This positive mindset does not only benefit our black belts, but also the people around them. The ability of staying positive no matter what is a precious skill, learned over time in our classes and will improve your life in many ways!
As a blackbelt you learn to be aware of every little thing around you. You are able to listen to the problems of the people around you, don’t judge and try to find solutions. Our students learn that it is important to offer support and be aware of other people’s ideas, their values and their personality. It’s important to pay attention to everything happening around you and even recognizing the smallest things.
Respect is one of the first skills our students learn on their way of becoming a black belt. It’s more than important to accept the people around you, with all the special characteristics, and to appreciate and respect them. Everyone is special and unique and should be comfortable showing this. Help others finding their real personality and support them showing it to everyone else!
